Lubrin is located about 1 hour across country from Almeria Airport, or 2 hours motorway/across country from Alicante or Murcia Airports. The well known beach resorts of Mojacar and Garrucha which are just 45 minutes away by car and the drive along the scenic route, via Bedar, is awesome! The more traditionally Spanish resorts of San Juan Torres and Aquilas (to the North) and Carboneras, Agua Marga and San Jose ( to the South) are about an hour away. These Spanish resorts, in Summer, are very much less crowded, especially mid-week, than Mojacar and Garrucha.

Lubrin is just 30 minutes' drive from the Almeria- Sevilla Motorway so that Granada, Sierra Nevada and the Alpuharras are just over 2 hours away, with skiing and walking adding another dimension to life in Lubrin. Andalucia also offers such cultural gems as Seville, Cordoba and Cadiz which are no more than 4 hours away by car.

Lubrin, Almeria - Out and About:

Places of Interest include Cuevas de Almanzora for its cave houses and Tabernas for its magnificent Desert National Park. At Tabernas is a Westen Theme park on the site of the Clint Eastwood Movies! The Gabo de Gata National Park is about an hour away : a desert, ending abruptly at the sea, with most beautiful, volcanic formations, beaches with difficult access and white villages.

The landward side of the Natural Park is inhabited with a diverse species of birds and the sea is rich in marine life. The ancient Andalusian city of Almeria (1 hour away) lies sheltered at the base of a bay, proudly dominated by the amazing Alcazaba, a huge Moorish citadel with three walled enclosures dating from 995.
