Previously, in accordance with the Package Travel Act, all EC holiday providers were obliged to provide insurance or bonding arrangements to guarantee the protection of their clients' money. In line with this directive, the holidays we sell are bonded by the IGI Insurance company Ltd, through the Financial Failure Insurance Scheme.

In accordance with The Package Travel, Package Tours Regulations 1992 all passengers booking with the Villa Holiday company (Travel) Ltd are fully insured for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of all monies paid to the us; including repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of The Villa Company (Travel) Ltd.

This financial failure insurance has been arranged by Towergate Chapman Stevens, through IGI Insurance Company Limited. A certificate detailing this cover will be given to each and every passenger as evidence of cover. Please ensure that you have been given the appropriate certificate(s) at the time of booking.

Recently there has been a change in what actually constitutes a package. It has been decreed by a judicial review that rentals of accommodation and other ancilliary elements of a holiday such as a hire car, which are each priced and sold individually, no longer constitute a package. Therefore there is no legal requirement for us to provide bonding or financial insurance for our clients' holiday arrangements. You'll be glad to hear that our financial failure insurance through IGI Insurance Company Limited is still in place to offer complete security for your holiday funds, so if you're shopping around for a holiday villa, you may want to ask our competitors how they safeguard your money.

NB: This policy will not cover any claims in relation to Air Flights. Please ensure you have booked flights through an approved ATOL Bonded supplier.
