The charming wine and fruit-producing village of Echedo is surrounded by rocky hills and claims to have the best climate on the island, however the 'Alisios', wet summer winds, blow into the north-west of El Hierro and bring heavy condensation to the vineyards around Echedo. In winter the temperatures remain mild, but air humidity increases.
