Albacete city is the most populated urban centre in the region. The 'Lagunas de Ruidera' lie between Albacete and Ciudad Real provinces. With 15 lakes streching over 35km, this is where the Guadiana river originates. They are part of the Natural Park of the 'Lagunas de Ruidera'.
