Visitors to Sineu can enjoy a taste of ancient Mallorcan history with historical sites such as the Son Rossinyol and Son Vanrell 'talaiots' dating back to the megalithic era; the 13th century church Nostra Senyora de los Angeles, which is the largest on the island and the palace built in the fourteenth century by the order of Jaume II on the remains of an antique Arab building.

Sineu hosts many Mallorcan spring fairs - 'Fires de Primavera' - and the town has it own market which is highly recommended by the locals. Sineu retains much of its traditional atmosphere and has not yet been taken over by tourism, however is it a fascinating place for soaking up local culture and enjoying delicious Mallorcan fayre. The 'cellars' (typical Mallorcan restaurants) serve authentic Mallorca dishes such as roast suckling pig or lamb. It's a great location for sitting outside a pavement bar, enjoyng a cooling drink while watching the world go by. And don't forget to sample the 'hierbas', the Mallorcan liquor!
