Soller Mallorca, Balearic Islands

Soller - Geography:

Soller lies at the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, its horizon dominated by the highest mountain in Mallorca, Puig Mayor. Reaching this rugged resort used to take one of the longest transfer times on the island, however a new road and the convenience of the Tunel de Soller now means Soller can be reached within 40-40 minutes' drive of the airport and capital Palma.

Soller - What is it like?:

Puerto de Soller is a beautiful crescent bay enclosed by two headlands, the old town of Soller is just 3km inland and is reached via a popular road that passes through Majorcan orange groves. This road bustles with cars and coaches and features a working tramway - the Orange Express. This vintage mode of transport offers a perfect opportunity for holiday makers and locals to avoid driving and simply take in some breathtaking scenery on your way between Soller and the port.
