Newly opened in 2005 this attractive, 2-storey apartment building offers a choice of 8 self catering apartments, all with sea views over the Ria de Arosa and the popular La Lanzada beach. Casa Ameiros is affiliated with a hotel so guests staying here have full use of the hotel's facilities, with access to spa treatments, massages and various other health and beauty regimes (bookable through reception in the Hotel Mar Atlantico - charges payable locally).
Located in a small village this pretty property is situated on a quiet lane which is just 80m from the centre of San Vicente de O Grove, the older part of the original village. Here there is a village shop, bus stop, children's play area and public telephone. To the left is the lane which leads down to several campsites and the beaches, principally the Playa Espino. The building is totally enclosed within stone walls and fencing, surrounded by gardens to the front and rear. The apartments have either two or three bedrooms with safe, an open plan sitting/dining area with TV and a small well-appointed kitchen with fridge. The three bedroom apartments have one shower room, and the two bedroom apartments have two shower rooms, one en-suite. Casa Ameiros has a swimming pool, laundry service, bicycle hire and ample car parking space.

Location

The village of San Vicente is located on the O Grove peninsular, which in turn, is situated at the entrance to the Ria of Arousa, the largest of the Rias Baixas or lower estuaries. Only a few centuries ago it was an island, until sand built up and formed the beautiful beach of La Lanzada and now just one road connects it to the 'mainland'. The village of San Vicente is situated about 7km from O Grove. San Vicente is a quiet spread out village, largely undiscovered by tourists who usually stay nearer to the beach of La Lanzada. Rural life continues in San Vicente as it has for centuries, and most of the houses are smallholdings with their own vegetable gardens and chickens, cows and dogs. The apartments are approximately 1km from Lanzada beach, 800 metres from the nearest shops and restaurants and 80km from Santiago airport.
