Casa Cho Juan, Villa I (GNT-1076)

Casa Cho Juan is a beautiful one hundred year old Canarian house, which has been lovingly renovated with many home comforts yet it still retains its original charm. Located below the church, 'Coromoto', on the edge of the village of La Guancha, Casa Cho Juan affords beautiful views over the fields and out to sea. There are two accommodation units. One is a small one-bedroom apartment, and the rest of the house is a beautifully furnished two bedroom home. Outside there are terraces and the whole property is surrounded by a 1,000 square metre garden with beautiful flowers and a 2,000 square metre field with cultivated grapes, potatoes and vegetables. There is also a roof top terrace, which has excellent views.
Casa Cho Juan is conveniently located approximately 600 metres from the centre of the village, within 300m strolling distance of basic shopping, a restaurant and bar. La Guancha is a typical Canarian village with a small selection of shops, bars and restaurants, which is approximately a fifteen-minute drive from the coast. Car hire here is firmly recommended to enhance your enjoyment of this delightful property.
A short drive along the coast (approximately 14 kilometres) will bring you to the chic resort of Puerto de La Cruz, with its fashionable seafront cafes, endless shopping possibilities and large lido where you can swim and relax. The Spanish town of Icod de Los Vinos is also easily accessible (approximately 10 kilometres away) and has a pretty centre with an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. The famous dragon tree, a popular tourist attraction is also found in the centre of Icod, as is a pretty Canarian garden, both of which can be viewed from the little tourist train which will take you round for a small charge.
Tenerife south airport, Reina Sofia is approximately 110 kilometres away and from Casa Cho Juan you can visit the many pretty villages which are dotted along the coast or alternatively travel inland after Puerto de La Cruz to explore the lush Oratava Valley (approximately 19 kilometres away), visit Masca the old pirate village where despite the growth in tourism, has changed very little. Or take a trip to the Las Canadas National Park which surrounds Mount Teide, the highest point in Spain.
