This typically Canarian farmhouse is surrounded by a 20,000 square metre plot of land, located in the south west of the island. It occupies a splendid rural location and is set in the midst of a wine growing area in front of Timanfaya National Park, amid vine tendrils, peach, fig, almond, avocado and papaya trees. Volcanoes dominate the horizon with fabulous colours ranging from copper to black and vineyards and fruit orchards fill out the rest of the landscape until, at the end, is the sea.
The local area is famous for producing Malvasia wine and the nearby village Yaiza has wine cellars, a small restaurant, bar and a supermarket.
Casa Diama offers a choice of accommodation including a two bedroom house and a studio apartment, which can either be rented separately or together - ideal for larger parties or families who wish to holiday together.
Outside of the property there is a large terrace, ideal for sunbathing and taking in views of the surrounding landscape, a barbecue picnic area and a swimming pool shared between the house and studio.
Car parking is available and a hire car is strongly recommended to enhance your enjoyment of this delightful rural property and to give you the opportunity to explore this fascinating island.

Location
La Geria is the vineyard of Lanzarote. The wine valley of La Geria has been declared a 'Protected Area' and is Lanzarote’s main wine-growing region, occupying about 52sq.km, stretching from Masdache to Uga and right up to the volcanic slopes. This area produces most of Lanzarote’s excellent wines, of which 75 per cent are made from the Malvasia grape, one of the oldest known grape varieties. La geria is a fabulous base from which to explore this fascinating region and it offers ideal terrain for walking and cycling. Of special note are Las Calderas de Guardilama, Montana Chupadero, Montana Blanca and Guatisea, amongst others. This almost 'lunar landscape' is covered with black lava and malpais (rock formed from the lavastreams). 8km Beach Puerto del Carmen 5km Nearest restaurant(s) Uga and Yaiza 5km Nearest shop(s) Uga and Yaiza 20km Airport Arrecife
