Location

Alajero is a small, typical rural village of La Gomera. Located on the southern slopes of the island, only 9km from the sea at Playa de Santiago. The village enjoys a pleasant sunny climate but is 800 metres above sea level making it a little cooler than the coast with chilly evenings in winter. There are a couple of bars and restaurants in Alajero, which has a population of about 300, and this is a very quiet location that would suit those seeking a peaceful rural holiday. Natural attractions include the particular geology and fauna of the coastal area, and the calm, crystalline waters of the beaches at Santiago or Erese. One of the few specimens of the drago tree found on the island grows here close to Agalan. Airport San Sebastian 35km. Beach Pebbles 9km. Ferry port San Sebastian 35km. Nearest town Alajero.
