Located at approximately 300m above sea level, Casa Oronao is only 10km inland from the airport and equidistant from both Las Palmas, the capital, to the north and Playa del Ingles to the south. Several beaches, both sand and pebble, are within easy driving distance and the town of Ingenio is only 2 kilometres away. In the unique area of Guayadeque, where some inhabitants still live in centuries-old caves to this day, there is a tiny church, bars and restaurants carved into the mountains in splendid countryside.

Location

The wonderful Guayadeque ravine ('barranco') is situated between the towns of Aguimes and Ingenio, in the south east of Gran Canaria. The valley can be reached by road from both towns passing through the Troglodyte hamlet of Cueva Bermeja and ending at the small village of Montana de las Tierras, situated within the ravine. In the two settlements in the valley you'll find 3 restaurants and a bar. As well, a tiny church/chapel can be visited, carved from the rocks.
