Casas Leonor, Villa I (ECH-1128)

Casas Leonor are lovingly restored, rustic stone cottages, set on a cultivated rural plot of approximately 8,000 square metres. They are conveniently located at the edge of the small village of Echedo, about 4km from the island's capitol Valverde and approximately 12km from the airport. The tranquil village of Echedo is very peaceful, dotted with small typical Herreno houses that are home to around 100 residents. In the village is a restaurant and a very small basic shop, however further facilities can be found in Valverde and, from the cottage, you can take a track to the lovely natural pools on the coast at Charco Manso, approximately 3km away.
The houses are enchanting, typical Herreno-house, constructed with thick stone walls and featuring traditional high wooden ceilings throughout. Their restoration has retained many original features to evoke great rustic charm.

The accommodation comprises: Entrance vestibule with hand-made corner seating unit and rocking chair. Kitchen with ceramic hob, extractor fan, large fridge freezer, coffee machine and toaster. Bedroom with 2 single beds, wardrobe and dressing table. Bathroom with washbasin, WC, shower, washing machine and tumble dryer. Living room with sofa-bed, television (Spanish channels only), sideboard, radio cassette player, CD-player and large dining table. Outside there is a large terrace with a corner seating area and deckchairs in a sheltered position with a view to the mountainside.

Location

The hamlet of Echedo lies in an important wine-growing area and its gracious houses are surrounded by the typical vines with volcanic ash. A short 4km ride down a bumpy track to the sea leads you to the magnificent blue sea pools of 'Charco Manso' - fantastic natural swimming-pools set in a rugged coast, with lava arches and blow-holes.
