The Thermal Villa of Laias Caldaria was opened in April 2001 to meet the growing demand for luxury thermal spa treatments. The broad range of services include hyper-thermal waters, mainly bicarbonate soda, alkaline, that are specially recommended for people suffering from hyperacidity, gastric problems and post-traumatic processes.

The Termarium area is the latest word in thermal spa therapies, with an exclusive design for this thermal spa and using the most modern techniques. The hotel also has hydro-massage and bubble tubs, gymnasiums (one classes and one for rehabilitation), Fango therapies, hand and feet baths, face and body aesthetic treatments, Vichy massage and Filiform shower jets, sauna, Jacuzzi, outdoor thermal water swimming pool, indoor swimming pools, solarium and anti-stress treatments.

The careful design of this thermal spa blends the harmony of a natural environment with state-of-the-art technology. From the two indoor swimming pools with hydro massage jets, you can admire the outside landscape through the attractive glass wall that surrounds the building. The outdoor thermal water swimming pool is the perfect marriage of nature with true therapy.

All of the one hundred bedrooms have been beautifully appointed with a modern and carefully chosen decor; each of them being a cosy and comfortable place to stay. Room facilities include en-suite bathroom, central heating, air conditioning, telephone, TV, radio, safe, mini-bar, hairdyer. All of the bedrooms have wheelchair access. Additionally four bedrooms have been specifically equipped for the special needs of physically disabled guests. Triple rooms are also available with an extra bed suitable for children under 12 years old. Furthermore, small apartments suitable for families of four are also available, along with a fabulous bridal suite.

Half of the bedrooms have balconies with a wonderful view over the river Mino that flows only a few metres away, by the hotel gardens. The Laias Caldaria Thermal Villa is a building nearly covered with glass, divided into three blocks, each with an independent entrance: the Hotel, the Thermal Spa and the Banqueting room.

The a la carte restaurant is called 'Alfonso V', in reference to King Vermudo II who, in 999AD, visited the area with Prince Alfonso V to heal his gout in the thermal waters. The restaurant offers a delicious menu featuring local Galician fayre and international cuisine.

The hotel's coffee bar benefits from a wonderful view over the river Mino. It is a very pleasant area to pass the time meeting with friends and is adjacent to the games room where you will find a host of table games to while away a quiet afternoon.

Bar Ingles opens at seven every evening and it is the perfect choice for guests seeking a more intimate place to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine at sunset. Throughout the hotel there are small and cosy areas that are popular reading corners, with nice, comfortable sofas and pleasant indoor gardens.

Location
