Alcossebre
Alcossebre, Costa de Azahar - Overview:
Definitely not a typical "package tour" destination, this is where the discerning Spanish spend their holidays. Bustling only during peak August holidays and Fiestas, the resort is very laid back and a great place to unwind with many fine restaurants and bars to choose from.
The delightful small town of Alcossebre on the Costa Azahar 'The Orange Blossom Coast' is a popular holiday destination for Spanish and French families, but at the moment is fairly unknown by other holiday-makers. Far removed from the international masses, the resort has retained it's native charm and friendly atmosphere. Alcossebre is a quiet coastal town situated just 30 minutes from busy Castellon, which is blessed with miles of beautiful sandy beaches - ideal both for sun worshippers and for lovers of watersports including water-skiing, wind surfing and yachting.
Alcossebre must be one of the most pleasant resorts on the Costa de Azahar. It is backed by hills covered with pine trees and has superb sandy beaches in small bays which stretch south for miles along the Mediterranean coast. The resort has a busy little harbour full of yachts and is large enough to have a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and a water park without being over-run by high rise development and mass tourism.
